Renewable Hub were introduced to Elite Aluminium Ltd by an existing customer they had worked with who kindly referred them to Jamie Bayliss, MD at Elite.

We visited site to assess to conduct the energy and savings audit and highlighted a few areas to focus which included LED Lighting, Telecoms, Business Rates, Stationary and business facilities as well as a water review.

We put forward a business case for LED Lighting that both offered an improved lighting plan as well as secured significant savings and CO2 reductions. The improved environment for the workers was the main feedback, Jamie commented “this is the first thing we have implemented that had 100% positive feedback”. The project saw a full installation of the main factory floor and office space and produced a saving of just over 6 tonnes of CO2 each year for the next 15-20 years. Increased savings will also be gained through the installation of light and occupancy sensors in the low foot fall areas of the building such as toilets and storage area.

Whilst at Elite, we were given the opportunity to tender for a new telecoms system and new handsets. We offered a like for like quote against their incumbent supplier and managed to be £8,500 cheaper. We pride ourselves on good service, good products and a fair price, not forgetting our profits are then fed back into local charities and good causes. The work conducted for Elite allowed a portion of funds to be put aside for a local children’s charity as well as donating funds to West Midlands Search and Rescue (WMSAR) which is going towards a new sonar system for the rapid response river boat which helps find missing people.
